This
Swan 57 has allways been professionally maintained with a full time captain and has only been used privately. In 1994 she received a complete new rig, teak decks an the hull was awlgripped (redone 2001) and the underwatership was treated with epoxy against Osmosis. For her age the boat is in very good condition. Worthwhile inspecting.
She is the last design for Nautor from the famous New York design office Sparkman & Stephens. Built in 1979, she is now becoming a ‘classic’ and with her good sailing qualities and very good seagoing properties an ideal boat to cruise the oceans of the world.
The Swan 57, designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built at Nautor in Finland, is a sturdy, well built cruising yacht. Hull construction is of solid glass fibre reinforced polyester laminate. Deck is of sandwich construction using glass fibre reinforced skin laminates with closed-cell foam core. Structural bulkheads are of marine grade plywood laminated to hull and deck. Keel is bolted to the hull and consists of lead with antimony.
